The 2014 race will be back at Fallasburg Park...which means bad news for all you half marathoners who escaped the ED, FRED, LARRY and Little CHUCK. Get your mental game on now so you'll be ready come race day...and yes: Fred and Chuck are friends!
Those looking for a tune up fall marathon or half marathon need look no further...The Marathon will be run in conjuction with the 1/2 marathon and will run on part of the North Country Trail...We expect around 100 hardy soles to try and attempt this one.. Race race day registration starting at 7a.m. at the start line. There is Friday optional packet pickup or you can wait till Sat. morning. ALL PACKET PICKUPS WILL BE AT THE START AND FINISH LINE at the Lodge in Fallasburg Park off Fallasburg Road in Lowell, Michigan.
The Old Fart's 26.2 mile marathon, 13.1 mile Half Marathon and 5K Races will start and finish at the Lodge and run most of the course together...so whether your running the 5k or the half; you can run most of your race with your friends in the marathon. So, whether your looking for a great tune up race for your fall marathon or just looking for the challenge of the Half Marathon Distance...come on out and run.
All runners 5k, 13.1 and 26.2 start at 8 a.m. Remember that there are NO TIME LIMITs for any of the races. If you can finish, we will let you!
COUNTRY INN and SUITES is the closest Hotel to the race. Their direct hotel # is 1-800-456-4000 and the local number is 942-7000. They are at the East Beltline Exit #38 on interstate 96. REMEMBER... that this is no ordinary everyday race... THIS IS THE OLD FARTS!
This is the ultimate marathon challenge that will leave you shaking your head as you try to figure out and comprehend what you just went through...but as you drive away you will have a big smile on your face as you ponder on what you just accomplished...then try to figure out a plan as to how you will try to describe the course to your friends but to experienced runners alls you have to mention is Old Farts and you need not have to say the rest...then again this is WHY OLDS FARTS ARE SO TOUGH!... so come on out and meet the Challenge of the Old Fart's Marathon!
PACKET PICKUP AND OPEN REGISTRATION WILL BE ON SAT. MORNING FROM 7A.M. TO 7:50 A.M.
Race Day Registration 7a.m. till 7:50a.m. ALL races start together at 8 a.m.
Runners may register on race day from 7a.m. till 7:50a.m. at the start line by the lodge . T-shirts will be guaranteed to all pre-registrants and to race day registrants while supplies last. Runners may also register on Friday night from 4 p.m. till 7 p.m. at the start line. Runners may pick up their packets on Friday night or Sat. morning.Here is the race review page:

THE WHO CUT THE CHEESE?... 5K ROAD RACE
5K Awards... GIANT WHOOPIE CUSHION AWARDS to the top THIRTY overall finishers with smaller whoopie cushions going to the middle finishers and punie/tiny whoopie cushions going to the later finishers. The first 80 finishers will get a whoopie cushion.
Old Farts Running Club is a non-profit organization that promotes good heath and fitness through road races and training runs.
